Collectible Tokens

One of my very first jobs was creating 4 game tokens for Upper Deck Enternainment (Later Upper Deck International) who held the licence for the collectible card game YuGiOh from Konami and also World of Warcraft from Blizzard.

They got one of the rare permissions to create their own token set which was handed out as tournament prize - the first (the mechanical chickens) for World of Warcraft, the second for YuGiOh. I got invited to some events and signed some of these cards. They've become incredibly popular and valuable since then and i am very grateful for the ongoing love for this project. One fan commissioned me to create a set that was far enough from the original but still referenced it and some elements that were important to this fan.

Einer meiner ersten Jobs war gleich ein Blockbuster: 4 offizielle YuGiOh-Tokens und 3 World of Warcraft Tokens - das hießt, dass der europäische Lizenzhalter für Konamis YuGiOh-Kartenspiel und Blizzards World of Warcraft Sammelkartenspiel, Upperdeck Enternainment (später Upper Deck International), ein Set von diesen Tokens drucken und als Turnierpreis ausgeben durfte. Dieses Set ist mittlerweile sehr wertvoll und wird von Fans hoch geachtet, was mich mit besonderem Stolz erfüllt. Ein Fan beauftragte mich, ein persönliches Set für ihn zu entwerfen und ein paar Elemente aufzugreifen, die diesem Fan wichtig waren.
